(Pictures coming soon...)

A Few Words From the MAC President..

Bow season is here! I want to congratulate Aron Robinson and Phil Morris for harvesting their first ever archery deer! If you would still like to get in on the Big Buck Contest, see Arthur Sommers. And if you do happen to have luck this archery season, get pictures to Michele Sommers or myself; you just might see yourself in a newsletter or on the web page…

Many thanks go out this month. First I would like to thank Dave Robinson and Brian Benson for attending the VBA scheduling meeting to represent our Club. Thanks to all the kids and parents for coming out to the trout rodeo, fun was had by all and the meal afterward was great. Hunter Munson and Emma Benson both caught Golden Trout. Thanks to Aaron Benson for bringing cooking oil, fish and hush puppy batter, and Tommy Jenkins for cooking the fish to perfection. Thanks to Arthur and Michele Sommers for donating prizes and making buttons for the kids.

In other news, some work has been done at the indoor building-- Phil Morris laid tile on the kitchen counters, Dave and Aron Robinson make and hung wall cabinets. Sink is installed and water is on and running. Come check it out!

Thanks, and good luck hunting,
WADE

June 2008

A Few Words From the MAC President..
By the time you receive this newsletter, our Spot League should be finished. 3D’s are still on Thursdays until September. We have had great turnouts for 3D’s. It’s not too early to start planning and practicing for hunting season, so plan on coming out to shoot.

We have some really big shoots coming up. Our 4-Man Team Shoot is always a great time. If you don’t have a team, and would like to shoot, show up! Someone is always looking for a teammate. Also, our Annual is this month, which would be a great time to invite a guest to come shoot since there’s so much going on.

Congratulations to Vance Cave for winning 30 target 3D shoot with a score of 301!!

In wrapping things up, I would like to thank Ronnie Benson for donating back stop material, Reece Hensley and Vance Cave for rebuilding target butts, Bradley Robinson for mowing the practice range, Buck Higgins for general mowing, Jeremy Spiker’s Dad Pete Pomeroy for fixing the lawnmower, and Wayne East for spreading gravel at the Indoor Building’s parking lot. Thanks to you all, we really appreciate it!

Thanks, and Good Shooting,

The Birth of a Blog...

Rather than spend a bunch of money on a website that may or may not get used, I thought I'd sign us up for a blog first, and we'll see how it goes. I will post our newsletters here, and any important Club information.. Feel free to comment: give suggestions on either the blog or the Club, or just let me know you're checking it out so I can gauge whether this is a successful form of communication with the Club Members.

I have also signed us up for an email... MACArchery@yahoo.com. Feel free to contact me through that address with suggestions, questions, whatever. I'm going to try to put lots of pictures in here too, so unless you want to see only my photos, send me yours. If you see a photo you find offensive or you just don't want on here, please let me know and I will remove it.

Since this is the rookie run of the blog, I'll post a copy of last month's newsletter. This also gives me a chance to see if it will work!
